Boys and Girls Club of Dorchester is built.

Originally the Col. Daniel Marr Boys Club, it is founded by brothers Daniel and Robert Marr and located at 35 Deer Street. The club expands to three sites and its current headquarters are located at 1135 Dorchester Avenue.
